Finalement, j'ai décidé de n'updater qu'une fois toutes les deux semaines de manière à prévoir mes sautes d'humeur, crises de démotivation et autres "j'ai mieux à faire". Donc aujourd'hui je parlerai d'un sujet qui me tient à coeur, le cosplay.
Finally, I decided to update only once every two weeks in order to plan my mood swings, demotivation crisis and "I have better things to do than that". So, today, I'll talk about a subject I hold deeply at heart, cosplay.

Pour les gens qui ne savent pas ce que c'est wikipedia est votre ami. Cherchez donc. C'est fait? Bien, continuons donc. J'ai réellement commencé le cosplay il y'a environ deux ans lors d'une Chibi Japan Expo. Vite improvisé en une demi journée et à moitié raté, mais toujours est-il que ce fut un début. Un sacré début presque deux ans plus tard, je rempilais avec mon premier véritable costume: The Crow.

I really started to cosplay something like two years ago, in the middle of a Chibi Japan Expo. Quickly improvised in half a day and half failed, but still, it was a start. A chat a start, because two years later, I did it again with my first real costume: The Crow

De là est parti une implication qui me surprit moi-même, un investissement dans cet univers et ce qui y est lié que je n'avais que rarement connu. Discuter avec plusieurs autres cosplayers a par ailleur renforcé ma motivation à le faire sérieusement, aussi avais-je prévu pour la Chibi Japan Expo 2009 de tout faire pour incarner le Riddler (connu aussi sous le nom d'Homme Mystere et Sphynx), un méchant de Batman (dont je soutiens que Jim Carey ne l'a jamais incarné: rien à voir avec ce qu'est réellement censé être ce personnage).
From that started an implication that surprised even myself, a will to dive in that world and everything linked to it that I only knew on rare times. Talking with some other cosplayers just strenghtened this motivation to do it seriously, and from that, I planned for this Chibi japan Expo to dress as the Riddler, a Batman's villain (which I definitely say he wasn't ever played by Jim Carey because he doen't have anything in commun with who this character is supposed to be).

Ce fut un succès. J'ai adoré être le Riddler, j'ai adoré rencontrer d'autres cosplayers se spécialisant dans l'univers de Batman, j'ai adoré réussir à le faire malgré les difficultés. Et j'ai adore le fait que les photos arrivent si vite, car cela me permet de tenter de concrétiser un rêve que j'ai depuis cet été, et dont je ne parlerai pas plus en détail dans le domaine public.
It wwas a success. I loved being the Riddler, loved meeting other cosplayers specializing themselves in Batman related cosplay, loved to successfully doing it no matter the difficulties I had. And I love the fact that the pic came out this quick, helping me trying to materialize a dream I have since last summer, dream I'll not talk about in details here.

Rien de plus aujourd'hui donc, juste envie de partager cette résolution qui est la mienne dans le fait de continuer le cosplay avec sérieux. Bonne semaine
